Australia's Net Migration Is 2.9× Natural Increase

Net overseas migration added 2.9 times as many people to Australia as natural increase in the year to March 2026.

In the year to March 2026, Australia's population grew by 392,700 people (1.4%). Net overseas migration added 292,100 of them, while natural increase (births minus deaths) added 100,600. Natural increase is 292,500 births minus 191,900 deaths.
