Prices Are Rising Faster Than The World Grows

The IMF's October 2026 outlook has global inflation at 4.7% this year, above global growth at 3.1% — a 1.6-point gap. Both are forecast to ease in 2027, with inflation at 4.1% and growth at 3.4%.
